Jacket Everyday is a project by Steve St Pierre. You can submit your personal life story title via social media, Mr St Pierre will make a cover with this text. It’s quite funny but pretty pritty too!
“In March of 2016, I asked my social networks, “If you had to title your life story (up to this point), what would it be called?” A slew of responses came in, and the covers you see are the result of creating a new jacket every day for the respondents.
Creating a book jacket is not a single-day process. There are manuscripts and sketches and iteration after iteration. I’ve made jackets in the past. It’s a lot of work (and reading). This is just one of those “graphic designer wants attention / loves designing book covers” kind of projects.
I’ll just take a second and honour those that came before me (because I’m sure there’s some ape-ing involved with the work presented here): Peter Mendelsund, Paul Sahre, Chip Kidd, Coralie Bickford-Smith and John Gall.” (read more on jacketeveryday.com)
