This Art Fair Amsterdam 2016
At This Art Fair artists show and sell their work without a gallery. (There are also some gallery booths to be found but they are a minority at This Art Fair.) About 120 Dutch artists present their work at the Beurs van Berlage. The artists come up with their own presentation and are present themselves; that’s what makes This Art Fair worth your time. If you are a frequent visitor of art fairs, galleries and what have you not, you’ll soon find out that it’s quite a different experience, more personal, like a ‘studio visit’.
If you haven’t much time and rather have your art-pitch in a nutshell then this art fair probably won’t be your cup of tea. On the other hand; The Beurs van Berlage is worth a visit in it’s own right of course. 29/30-12-2016 open from 1 PM until 10 PM. This Art Fair was set up in 2005 by The Art in Redlight Foundation, these fairs were held in the Oude Kerk in Amsterdam. Back then the fair was named Art in Redlight. In 2015 the name changed into This Art Fair.
