The city of Matera lies in a small canyon carved out by the Gravina river. The historical center, along with the Park of the Rupestrian Churches, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993.

“The enoteca dai tosi winery was established in 2017 in a sasso in Matera, the famous city carved out of the rock. The tosi (Venetian noun for “guys”) are ready to welcome visitors by taking them on a wine and food tour, revealing the hidden treasures of their cellar made up of 250 exclusively Italian reference wines, with tastings of cicchetti, small Venetian delicacies that have been recreated according to traditional recipes from Basilicata.” (read more enotecadaitosi.it)
