Fashion: The Musical

The ‘Fashion, the Musical’ exhibition is set to open at the Centraal Museum in Utrecht on 7 June. Under this expressive title, guest curator Piet Paris has devised a fashion exhibition about times past and present, about traditional and modern, in a distinctive Piet and Paris layout. Piet enjoyed full access to the museum’s extensive clothing collection, which includes historical clothing as well as work by contemporary fashion designers. As the title suggests, the fashion is displayed in lively surroundings, for which Piet selected more than 150 objects from the museum’s depots. It shows fashion galore in the midst of paintings, furniture, products and accessories. The exhibition continues through 30 November 2014 and is accompanied by a publication with new illustrations that the museum recently acquired. (read more HERE)
