Ha! There they’re back, loud and clear! The so called collections with a theme. They have never really left us but it was very en-vogue the past years to state that using a theme was unfashionable and OUT. But then, the next day you’re IN! Dolce and Gabanna never left their thematic roots, but this season they made everything more theatrical, so did Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen, she outdid herself showing a pret-à-porter collection that isn’t so ready to wear….
Sloppy dressing:
Wearing lingerie outdoors matched with checks or fur, just-out-of-bed hair and make-up, bare shoulder(s).
Saint Laurent: They call it Grunge.
Louis Vuitton: We call it Amy W. wandering the fashion heaven.

Taking Sloppy dressing a step less direct: evolving into off shoulder design at Jonathan Saunders. And showing underwear, left at Burberry Prorsum.
Sailorettes:
Oversized, Clean-cut and Comfortable in Navy.
Miu Miu: Styling with stripes, scarfs and knack sacks. The show reminded us of eighties Jean Paul Gaultier.

Alexander McQueen: Yes, it’s Pret-à-Porter. (all photo’s from Style.com)
We did notice more themes. It’s work in progress categorizing them……We’ll keep you posted.
