30 images of dead Italian people. These aren’t anonymous people, we, at Mimi Berlin, made them that way. We only photographed their faces, no names, flowers, candles or any other personal items that show who they were and how they are still loved, by living Italian people from Portofino.
If you would like to know more about these men and women we suggest you visit the fisherman’s village of Portofino, with only around 500 inhabitants, to see the identity of this village for yourself at the tiny white cemetery at the Church of San Giorgio.
Many moons ago we created a collection of eggcups: ‘Eierbecher/Eggcups Prototypes’
This project was the start of what would evolve into us, at Mimi Berlin, seriously creating all kinds of unique objects and stattuettes with stories attached to them. (see those at mimimall.me) Anyways, back to the topic of this blogpost.Mrs Jack, a small company which offers sustainable, ready-set trays and tablescapes, has used one of these ‘Eierbecher/Egggcups Prototypes’ for a breakfast in bed tray-scape. Its the ‘Qualy’ eggcup from the ‘White’ series, set next to a marvelous coffeepot designed by Lutz Rabold, what an honour!
The photograph was taken by JW Kaldenbach, postproduction and graphics by Appdikted: both reachable via Agent Mimi. Styling and concept by Mrs Jack with many thanks to designer Annewil Ravensbergen
Appdikted @Mimi Berlin is trying to capture the graphic identity of Milan, Italy by collecting images of the sidewalk, a patchwork in concrete.
In Amsterdam, just like in any other city, bicycles aren’t pretty. Bikes are used every day and they need to be kept outside because nobody has a shed, and only a few get to live on a ground floor. Children’s Bicycles are also kept outside, mostly locked with a thick, fat chain so they won’t get stolen.
Appdikted @mimiberlin has been keeping his eye out for these colorful mini bikettes. <click that link to see more images taken earlier
