ArtEZ Fashion Show 2017

ArtEZ Fashion Show 2017

Yesterday we, Mimi Blogger Team, went to see the annual show of ArtEZ Arnhem’s fashion design department, which was held at Musis Sacrum, one of Arnheim’s cultural centers. Musis Sacrum (just love that name) has restrooms larger than our headoffices, with very high ceilings covered in travertine (but that’s another story…) The first and second year students opened this fashionshow with experimental designs and after Collectie Arnhem 2017, designed by the 3rd year students, we got to see the graduation collections. This year a group of 19 Bachelor students will be graduating; congratulations to all!

As we took a peek backstage after the show, we noticed that the detailing of the designs are pretty high standard; fabrics (and leather) are often embellished and finished by hand, also the of craft knitting, printing and embroidery isn’t lost on these students. We love that!

Unseen Photo Fair in Amsterdam 2016

Unseen Photo Fair in Amsterdam 2016

Mimi Berlin Blogger team went to the annual Unseen Photo Fair in Amsterdam. We had a great time! Being the childish team we are: we picked our favorite works to show you. Maybe you have other images you like better? You won’t know unless you visit the fair. We suggest you do. find all info here on the unseen site

We have to be honest; we also took pictures of less favorite works because the urge and our ability to categorize themes and trends very quick, took overhand sometimes.

Introducing Beja von Bis With NEON Art

Introducing Beja von Bis With NEON Art: It occurred to us that Beja von Bis has never been properly introduced on Mimi’s Blog. And that’s a darned, doggone shame on Mimi Berlin’s part!

You must know that Ms von Bis has been blogging for over one year, every single Monday, at Mimi Berlin’s Blog. Continue reading

Mimi Beijing

Mimi Berlin Blogger Team has been split up into two bloggers. One is Mimi Berlin as you know her and the other one is Mimi Beijing. You can follow her stories at the SALON/ blog until the 5th of October 2013. At night Mimi Beijing is visiting several ‘design vernissages’ at the Beijing Design Week (BJDW). Below she just left her tag (big time) at the opening party of the Amsterdam Guest City of BJDW which was held the 28th of September in “The Tank” an abandoned gastank situated in a former industrial area. On show was an introduction to Dutch designers and architects.

Thanks to Martijn den Boer for coming up with the title; Mimi Beijing.
