Sunny Santa Cruz Boardwalk

Sunny Santa Cruz Boardwalk

It’s a Sunny day in Santa Cruz! Mimi Berlin took a stroll and a ride under a clear blue sky.
We hope you have a nice day as well!
xoxo Mimi

This Californian amusement park has a variety of games & rides right on a mile-long stretch of sandy beach, yes it does.

The last Photo is a portrait of Pochi, the Pouch that travelled with us.

Mark Ryden and Alexei Ratmansky collaborated on Whipped Cream

Whipped Cream (Schlagobers am Deutsch) is an almost century old ballet. (And whàt a fine name for a ballet!!!) It is set to music from Richard Strauss and was first performed in 1924. Choreographer Alexei Ratmansky and artist Mark Ryden collaborated on the newest version; which premiered in California in March 2017. We, at Mimi Berlin, like the work of Mark Ryden very much. The costumes and decor he designed for this ballet aren’t disappointing either, au contraire! They are G R E A T! We do hope the American Ballet Theatre planned an international tour to Europe! “The two-act confection, called “Whipped Cream,” is a story about a young boy who overindulges at a Vienna pastry shop and falls into a surreal delirium.” (via/read more at marcryden.com)

The Story of Patti Waggin

The Story of Patti Waggin

Patti Waggin (Born Patricia Hardwick in 1926) was a stripper and motor cyclist! What more can a man ask for? Maybe a double act with the luscious Ricki Corvette? That too was a possible wish come true…

“If there’s one word to describe shapely Patti Brownell, it’s excitement. The young lass lives by it–and for it. Into her existence, Patti packs a triple life: During the day, she’s a student at California’s Chico State College: at night she draws tremendous crowds into the cafe where she presents her whiz bang strip act: and on her off moments, Patti is a death-defying motorcyclist. As far as our luscious blue-eyed blonde is concerned, there’s nothing unusual about her life. Patti’s been winning trophies for motorcycle riding since she was 14. She loves the sport.” Read more of her true story here on the selvedgeyard.com

Pretty in Pink

Stewardess Nancy Jacquier

Stewardess Nancy Jacquier examining what appears to be cigarettes. Maybe those white sticks are something completely different, we don’t know. But since we are smokers we say that they are smokes and that these pictures were taken in the 1960s. What do you think? Maybe that camera dangling from her arm is hint towards the package being photo camera accessories? Photo’s by Ralph Crane, Sacramento, California. © Time Inc.
