Chicago Clubkids are Fashion Icons und Pop Stars

The clubkids who roam the clubs of Chicago nowadays are a special bunch, Imp Queen and WannaBonbon are 2 examples. Two creative persons who express themselves mainly with their own face and body, fabric and paint. They are fashion icons, pop stars, amazing make-up artists and all-round performers.

As you all know; we, at Mimi Berlin, are old, and thus we have “something to say about that”! We aren’t are prudent bunch, we’ve only encountered someone shooting hormones en plein publique once: in a bar. But that was not filmed for an 10K audience! That’s the reason we have to mention this live feed. Guess we just have to get used to the modern way of sharing everything……What do you think?

4th August 1934 : Woman in a light bulb. Curated by Amanda Uren (Deputy curator for retronaut.com since 2011.) “Marian Holmes knelt inside the glass of a 100,000-watt incandescent bulb to be exhibited by the Westinghouse Company at the World Fair in Chicago. She held a 60-watt bulb for comparison. The caption noted that the bulb “must be strong enough to withstand a crushing strain of 40,000 pounds.”“ (via messytimetravel)
