Whipped Cream (Schlagobers am Deutsch) is an almost century old ballet. (And whàt a fine name for a ballet!!!) It is set to music from Richard Strauss and was first performed in 1924. Choreographer Alexei Ratmansky and artist Mark Ryden collaborated on the newest version; which premiered in California in March 2017. We, at Mimi Berlin, like the work of Mark Ryden very much. The costumes and decor he designed for this ballet aren’t disappointing either, au contraire! They are G R E A T! We do hope the American Ballet Theatre planned an international tour to Europe!
