OMG the human workforce will be able to buy ‘wearable blinkers’ in the near future. This headgear is good for not having distraction in busy places while working. The idea for the headband is similar to the devices worn by horses in the city, The human blinkers are still in the prototype phase, so they may never come true, but we, at Mimi Berlin, feel that even thinking up such an ‘animal-farm’ kind of product is unbelievable! They must have big fun at the Panasonic design offices……..
Marc Jacobs/F/W 2014 runway show (photo by Allessandro Garofalo)
A new kind of glamour, a combination of shimmering, girly, sex, fairy tales, romance and sci-fi. Lots of white with pastels and skin colors for a romantic touch. At the Marc Jacobs show ruffles (ruffles were also a key devise at the Marni show and at Guy Laroche at Lanvin) at Watanabe) and transparency were combined with retro sixties sci-fi, make sure to click that link, it’s a very interesting show. We never cared much for horses. Back in the Heimat (Germany) the horses are just that, horses. They are very plain and don’t trigger any imaginations or dreams. But after seeing these pictures we suddenly know why so many people are in love with this animal.
Egyptian Arabian horse, “Imperial Baarez”
Now we get why girls want to play with little pony’s and why teenagers want to ride a horse 24/7, why adults want to breed them and why unicorns exist. Fas-ci-na-ting!
Did you know that Las Vegas has a neon boneyard? Actually these images are taken at the wonderful outside space of The Neon Boneyard of the Neon Museum in Nevada. Here you can see the most treasured and world-famous signs of Las Vegas such as signs of Caesars Palace, Binion’s Horseshoe, the Golden Nugget and the Stardust.
