We, at Mimi Berlin, have been away from our blog for over a year. So we do feel the need to update you, our readers, on what we’ve been up to all this time. Well, amongst other things, and in a nutshell; we created lamps. Below some quick snapshots.
All these lamps are constructed mainly with recycled plastic. Or as we like to say; discarded plastic all sorts; early plastics, newly produced plastic….from Tupperware to…..well, everything but the kitchen sink.

It’s always wonderful if somebody loves your work enough to purchase it. That happend with our nude selfportrait the other day. PS make sure to click the link if you’d like to know more about Ms Kleijn’s art project ‘Reflection in Time’
Reflection in Time is an art project initiated by Nannet van der Kleijn. Ms van der Kleijn sent about 500 pieces of blank linen canvasses in A4 size to friends, family and acquaintances. She asked if they wanted to do ‘something’ with that piece of cloth. (The previous sentence is us, at Mimi Berlin, putting the more elaborate vision of Nannet van der Kleijn in a tiny nutshell ofcourse!)
