Who is Theresa Roemer? She is a rich woman ” I just came back from the Cayman Islands”, from Texas in the USA. She has a YouTube channel for which she follows all the Youtuber rules neatly.
All her uploads have one template. First you get a little intro in which she always addresses us viewers as “Hey Peeps”. Next you see her pre-filmed intro; she promisses us Luxury, Lifestyle, and an other thing which we, at Mimi Berlin, can’t remember.
Her movies are about her life, for example like the video above; Beauty taken too far? or we get an in-house tour (glam-room and closet). And she also just comes up with things to do, such as shopping at… “You guys, I’ve never been to the one dollar store”.
Collaborations and Subscribing
The third thing Theresa Roemer films (actually not herself, but her younger friend, who follows her around) are collaborations with other, equally famous Youtubers. At the end of each movie she always urges us to subsribe and so on, like any youtubers would, so no surprises there either.
Long Story Short
The video’s on Roemer”s channel are about nothing (special). Theresa Roemer doesn’t show her ‘real’ self and being a ‘youtuber’ obviously isn’t really her passion. It is something that she does, like many others who aren’t the earliest of adaptors. Whilst watching her plugging several products and buying lot’s of random stuff, the Fake-ness becomes more Fascinating to us. Without any judgement we ask ourselves: is this what our (pop)culture came to be? Or is it the fact that the lack of creativity is so out in the open; 3 times a week for about 4 years already?! Well, the questions that pop up in our minds while watching this channel are the reason why we made this is the Weird YouTube Channel of the week. Maybe you have some answers for us? You are more than welcome to start a conversation! xoxo Mimi

Many moons ago we created a collection of eggcups: ‘Eierbecher/Eggcups Prototypes’
This project was the start of what would evolve into us, at Mimi Berlin, seriously creating all kinds of unique objects and stattuettes with stories attached to them. (see those at mimimall.me) Anyways, back to the topic of this blogpost.Mrs Jack, a small company which offers sustainable, ready-set trays and tablescapes, has used one of these ‘Eierbecher/Egggcups Prototypes’ for a breakfast in bed tray-scape. Its the ‘Qualy’ eggcup from the ‘White’ series, set next to a marvelous coffeepot designed by Lutz Rabold, what an honour!
‘Morning Glory with Mrs Jack/ Give’
The photograph was taken by JW Kaldenbach, postproduction and graphics by Appdikted: both reachable via Agent Mimi. Styling and concept by Mrs Jack with many thanks to designer Annewil Ravensbergen
The graphic-house-style and brand design for Mrs Jack was taken care of by Appdikted as well. We suggest you check out her webshop; she takes her fun serious! Continue reading →
Timothy Oulton has introduced his newest range ‘Noble Souls’ at Milan Designweek 2018. ‘Noble Souls’ living, lighting and dining, is designed to add an extra feeling of “sensory joy” to an interior. Come to think of it; adressing the human senses is a very important part in interior design, nowadays (the mass-production-days) it’s even the most luxurious part. Everything in the ‘Noble Souls’ range is made by hand, at human scale. Hidden luxury and social awareness; very on trend!

“today’s real luxuries are moments, not things “
The concept for this colllection is based on the work of ancient craftsmen, their techniques and the natural materials that have been used for thousands of years. Oulton succeeded to turn these ingredients into a modern yet comfortable range: using only 100% natural vegetable dyes, feathers and natural linens. ‘Noble Souls’ is pure luxury!
The Bijenkorf (Beehive in Dutch) is the oldest and most high-end luxury department store in The Netherlands. One year ago they added a premium service: shopping with personal assistance. It was long overdue and about time for Mimi Berlin Blogger Team to finally shop with one of the personal shoppers at The Bijenkorf in Amsterdam.
We must say we had a lovely experience. First, our personal shopper, Ms Kranenborg, took us onto the “floor” in search of a suit for the male party of our Blogger Team. After a while the choice was narrowed down to 3 suits, which were brought to the special, very large and comfortable, dressingroom or so-called lounge (decorated entirely in pink and brown tones) on the second floor. During fittings the female part of our team got to sit down on the couch and eat cookies. After we decided upon the purchase there was champagne ànd an experienced team of tailors! Continue reading →
