Mrs Jack x Agent Mimi x Mimi Berlin

Mrs Jack x Mimi Berlin x Agent Mimi

Many moons ago we created a collection of eggcups: ‘Eierbecher/Eggcups Prototypes’
This project was the start of what would evolve into us, at Mimi Berlin, seriously creating all kinds of unique objects and stattuettes with stories attached to them. (see those at mimimall.me) Anyways, back to the topic of this blogpost.Mrs Jack, a small company which offers sustainable, ready-set trays and tablescapes, has used one of these ‘Eierbecher/Egggcups Prototypes’ for a  breakfast in bed tray-scape. Its the ‘Qualy’ eggcup from the ‘White’ series, set next to a marvelous coffeepot designed by Lutz Rabold, what an honour!

Milan Designweek 2018: Noble Souls

Noble Souls

Timothy Oulton has introduced his newest range ‘Noble Souls’ at Milan Designweek 2018. ‘Noble Souls’ living, lighting and dining, is designed to add an extra feeling of “sensory joy” to an interior. Come to think of it; adressing the human senses is a very important part in interior design, nowadays (the mass-production-days) it’s even the most luxurious part. Everything in the ‘Noble Souls’ range is made by hand, at human scale. Hidden luxury and social awareness; very on trend!

“today’s real luxuries are moments, not things “

The concept for this colllection is based on the work of ancient craftsmen, their techniques and the natural materials that have been used for thousands of years. Oulton succeeded to turn these ingredients into a modern yet comfortable range: using only 100% natural vegetable dyes, feathers and natural linens. ‘Noble Souls’ is pure luxury!

Bijenkorf Amsterdam Personal Shopping

Bijenkorf

The Bijenkorf (Beehive in Dutch) is the oldest and most high-end luxury department store in The Netherlands. One year ago they added a premium service: shopping with personal assistance. It was long overdue and about time for Mimi Berlin Blogger Team to finally shop with one of the personal shoppers at The Bijenkorf in Amsterdam.

Suits

We must say we had a lovely experience. First, our personal shopper, Ms Kranenborg, took us onto the “floor” in search of a suit for the male party of our Blogger Team. After a while the choice was narrowed down to 3 suits, which were brought to the special, very large and comfortable, dressingroom or so-called lounge (decorated entirely in pink and brown tones) on the second floor. During fittings the female part of our team got to sit down on the couch and eat cookies. After we decided upon the purchase there was champagne ànd an experienced team of tailors! Continue reading
