Timothy Oulton’s Rocket/Rakete is Luxurious

Rocket/Rakete

‘Apollo’ is a very Luxurious lounge or seating area. It is a bespoke designer piece, created by Timothy Oulton Studio. This ‘Barbarella-esque‘ Rakete/Rocket is quite the decadent design; nobody has to have any use for it.
Furthermore the interior of the rocket is made with the most expensive and over the top luxury materials such as natural semi-precious stone. You can imagine that we, at Mimi Berlin, found this to be a very comfortable retreat.

Apollo was on show during the launch of Oulton’s new line ‘Noble Souls’ at the Brera Design Districtin in Milan. (buy here: timothyoulton.com)

Milan Designweek 2018 Japan Creative ABCD Elements

ABCD Elements

‘Japan Creative’ (JC for short) has 3 new projects on show in Milan during Designweek 2018. The one we really like, is named JC21 a.k.a. the ABCD Elements. These soft seaters are the result of the collaboration between Japanese craftsman TAKEYARI and British designer Faye Toogood. Not only is this design very stunning, it is also a sustainable one, ànd witty! There is a 70’s feel to them, but it isn’t overpowering; the ABCD Elements are designs which have the easy-going and friendly vibe from the 1970s. At least that’s how we, at Mimi Berlin, feel about this design.

These stunning seaters, or cushions, can be seen until the 22nd of April, 2018 at Palazzo Litta on the Corso Magenta 24 in Milan.

Milan Designweek 2018: Noble Souls

Noble Souls

Timothy Oulton has introduced his newest range ‘Noble Souls’ at Milan Designweek 2018. ‘Noble Souls’ living, lighting and dining, is designed to add an extra feeling of “sensory joy” to an interior. Come to think of it; adressing the human senses is a very important part in interior design, nowadays (the mass-production-days) it’s even the most luxurious part. Everything in the ‘Noble Souls’ range is made by hand, at human scale. Hidden luxury and social awareness; very on trend!

“today’s real luxuries are moments, not things “

The concept for this colllection is based on the work of ancient craftsmen, their techniques and the natural materials that have been used for thousands of years. Oulton succeeded to turn these ingredients into a modern yet comfortable range: using only 100% natural vegetable dyes, feathers and natural linens. ‘Noble Souls’ is pure luxury!
