Since the January issue of Harper’s Bazaar NL will be in stores today, we can publish the perfume series we made for the December 2018 issue. Here it is!
Let us proudly present: Objet D’amour. The images above are ‘Style’ pages from Harper’s Bazaar NL, that’s the Dutch edition of the glossy. There are 7 visual perfume stories in total, all starring high-end perfumes. Both Penhaligon’s and Imaginary Authors are brands that are new to us, the fun and quirky packaging was a joy to work with, they suit our style. Website Design by Appdikted @Mimi Berlin for ITTR à GOGO
The website design* by Appdikted for ITTR à GOGO completes and explains the style of ITTR à GOGO; modern, classic, functional, clean, simple and to the point. Similair to the cliënts briefing. The website has a very romantic touch: provided in words and concept by Ms Gobitz, founder and creator of the ITTR à GOGO fragances, and the photography Edel Verzijl. Visit the website and have a look, see what YOU think!
ITTR à GOGO is a new brand which carries perfume oil (it is yet to be launched festively) It’s not your average perfume oil. No! “ITTR is highly concentrated pure and natural which was used by the maharajas from ancient India” -ittragogo.com.

Zoologist Perfumes has the thing for people who already own everything in the world:
5 different animal scents; Panda, Hummingbird, Beaver, Bat and Rhinoceros.
A “line of eau de parfum which captures the idiosyncrasies of the animal kingdom and transforms them into scents that are unusual, beautiful, fun and even shocking. Our scents will reconnect you with manifold delights of the natural world.”
The eau de parfum can be ordered in a deluxe bottle, travelspray or in a set of samples, from Canada. We think it’s a very smart product: as far as we know (we did’t research anything) this perfume is one in it’s kind, it’s a conversation piece, the bottle is easy on the eye, it isn’t too expensive and last but not least it’s got humour! Well done Victor Wong (founder of Zoologist Perfumes in 2013)

New Party Snaps: At The Launch of Mirror Mirror Magazine in Amsterdam
‘THIS IS HOW WE DO IT’
Yes! We, at Mimi Berlin, do take “party snaps” now and then.
‘Cause we know you like that!
(Georgette Koning, Ronald van der Kemp and fashion model at The launch of Mirror Mirror magazine in The Museum of Bags and Purses in Amsterdam)
We visited the launch of the independent magazine Mirror Mirror the other day. This glossy magazine is all about beauty, for women and men. It’s made with a very fashionable approach towards beauty. The magazine is not just about products; the stories behind beauty products, jewelry and fashion are equally important to editor-in-chief and art-director Georgette Koning. The obsession with eternal youth, psychology behind color and trends in jewelry are some of the topics for the first issue. The interviews with perfume makers, designers and make-up artists make a good read as well. Nice!

Elsa Schiapparelli had the perfume bottle for Shoking patented in December 1936. The perfume was launched In1937 and with that also the color shocking pink was invented. The bottle was designed by Léonor Fini and represented a dressmaker dummy following the curves of Mae West, a velvet measuring tape and was decorated with porcelain flowers (inspired by Dalí ‘s paintings of flower-sellers so says wikipedia) The bottle came with a black leather carry-on case lined with fabric in shocking pink.
Needless to say, but we will; Jean Paul Gaultier took the bottle design to the next level; In 1993, he launched his first fragrance for women “JEAN-PAUL GAULTIER” (which is now called “CLASSIQUE”), in a bottle representing a female torso based on both Madonna and the bottle of Shocking de Schiaparelli. Variations on the JPG Torso Bottles come in maybe millions and were (are?) highly collectable….
