The Fashion Show 2015 / Gerrit Rietveld Academie

The Fashion Show 2015 / Gerrit Rietveld Academie

This year the fashion design students of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie got to show at the Citroën Garage in Amsterdam. The first and second year students showed the results of the project “Something Metal”; they researched shape and form with grey, hard, plastic and came up with some interesting silhouettes. The 8 graduate collections really showed the strong point of each student; trendspotting, research, experiment, and even commercial talent passed us by in the form of well balanced collections. Models (cast and training by Victor de Bie), choreography (by Bas Andrea and Nathalie Haelermans) and styling (by Marleen de Jong) were impeccable, this, combined with the diversity of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie class of 2015, made the show inspirational for us at Mimi Berlin, we thought it’s upbeat vibe was fun and entertaining.
