From Vogue.com; ““They’re holding those bags like they’re holding a puppy!” exclaims body-language expert Lillian Glass, Ph.D., when she’s confronted with a series of runway images from the Prada fall 2011 catwalk show, in which the models are snuggling up to their purses, clutching them like something soft and warm you’d like to nestle near your bosom. read more

For Chloé’s RTW collection Fall 2011 designer Hannah MacGibbon had Python on her mind. Wow, never have I seen so much snakeskin in one show! Oversized coats and trousers, fitted (shirt) dresses, coats, skirts and even a jumpsuit. All in snakeskin leather or printed with a snakeskin pattern. This outburst of colour and soft leather is really remarkable for Chloé. Their allover trademark 70’s feeling, the perfect slouchy sihouettes , the impeccable tailoring and, of course, the colour beige are still present. But, this Fall 2011 collection is very opposite from the self confident Chloé-Woman in toned-down colours we all know so well! Looking back at Hannah MacGibbon’s pre-fall collection she already started using colours and prints (bright yellow and allover paisley’s) but this season she really took it a step further. The Chloé woman has become more seductive and colourful than ever. Very Sexy at very fashionable indeed. “You’ve come a long way, Baby !”
