Mimi Berlin Blogger Team has been split up into two bloggers. One is Mimi Berlin as you know her and the other one is Mimi Beijing. You can follow her stories at the SALON/ blog until the 5th of October 2013. At night Mimi Beijing is visiting several ‘design vernissages’ at the Beijing Design Week (BJDW). Below she just left her tag (big time) at the opening party of the Amsterdam Guest City of BJDW which was held the 28th of September in “The Tank” an abandoned gastank situated in a former industrial area. On show was an introduction to Dutch designers and architects.
Thanks to Martijn den Boer for coming up with the title; Mimi Beijing.
It was THAT night again: Vogue Fashion’s Night Out in Amsterdam. Mimi Berlin Blogger Team visited some venues and made snaps of The Dutch Fashionista for you. Have a look-see HERE

Yesterday we visited the opening of the ‘outdoor gallery’ in the gardens of the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam. Premiering are sculptures by Henry Moore. Amongst 12 other works Reclining Woman: Elbow 1981, is on show, that’s very special because this sculpture hasn’t left the Leeds Art Gallery since its creation over 30 years ago! Needless to say we had a fun time and of course we took some snapshots for you… Wim Pijbes, head director of the Rijksmuseum posing with Mrs and Mr van Caldenborgh in the custom designed fountain Hide and Seek by Jeppe Hein.
The exhibition is on view until 29th of September 2013 and can be visited free of charge.
Yesterday we went to see Atelier E.B.’s new collection of clothing and accessories. The second collection by designers/artists Lucy McKenzie and Beca Lipscombe could be ordered in a temporary showroom at ‘Magazijn’ (May 15–18, 2013) We ordered ourselves a purple sweater made from Scottish lambswool.
Lucy McKenzie also has work on exhibit at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. Her installation “Something They Have To Live With” is on show till the 22nd of September 2013. (See more: Stedelijk museum)
