Who is Theresa Roemer? She is a rich woman ” I just came back from the Cayman Islands”, from Texas in the USA. She has a YouTube channel for which she follows all the Youtuber rules neatly.

All her uploads have one template. First you get a little intro in which she always addresses us viewers as “Hey Peeps”. Next you see her pre-filmed intro; she promisses us Luxury, Lifestyle, and an other thing which we, at Mimi Berlin, can’t remember.

Usual Topics

Her movies are about her life, for example like the video above; Beauty taken too far? or we get an in-house tour (glam-room and closet). And she also just comes up with things to do, such as shopping at… “You guys, I’ve never been to the one dollar store”.

Collaborations and Subscribing

The third thing Theresa Roemer films (actually not herself, but her younger friend, who follows her around) are collaborations with other, equally famous Youtubers. At the end of each movie she always urges us to subsribe and so on, like any youtubers would, so no surprises there either.

Long Story Short

The video’s on Roemer”s channel are about nothing (special). Theresa Roemer doesn’t show her ‘real’ self and being a ‘youtuber’ obviously isn’t really her passion. It is something that she does, like many others who aren’t the earliest of adaptors. Whilst watching her plugging several products and buying lot’s of random stuff, the Fake-ness becomes more Fascinating to us. Without any judgement we ask ourselves: is this what our (pop)culture came to be? Or is it the fact that the lack of creativity is so out in the open; 3 times a week for about 4 years already?!
