Awkward shoes: Spring 2013.

We, at Mimi Berlin Mode-Büro, can’t take it anymore, we’ve had enough.
Shoes really have become the circus act of the fashion shows, and everybody is buying that/them. Do we really need loud designer signatures on our feet?
Well, unless you don’t want anybody looking at your face, our answer is; no we don’t.

Menswear Spring 2013: Bicycle thiefs

Ladri di biciclette/Bicycle thiefs, the 1948 Italian neorealist film directed by Vittorio De Sica. Was obviously the inspiration for the spring 2013 collection of Dolce & Gabanna. Great styling and choice of models (‘non models’ just like some of the actors in the movie)  gave us the retro feeling in an instant. Also Trussardi seemed to have gotten inspired by the same movie, there were even bikes on the catwalk. (Trussardi bikes?, SO Chique)

Top 3 photo’s are from the Dolce & Gabanna collection, on the left by Trussardi.More shorts, bermuda’s and boys.

25/6/2012: The runway shows aren’t finished yet, maybe we’ll post some more on this silhouette later.
