‘Never standing Stll’ is the name of the latest Hong Kong Ballet campaign in celebration of their 40th anniversary. The art direction, typography and the video are made by Design Army, This design agency is, in their own words, a “Full Service Design Centric Agency”. Okay, they are based in Washington DC. What we really like about this campaign is that it mixes classical and pop references. That is done So well! After watching the video we, at Mimi Berlin, really need to see a performance by this ballet company. #bucketlist

Who doesn’t know the fashion label ‘Viktor and Rolf’? If you don’t, no worries; you have a chance to see their work at the Rotterdam based Kunsthal. ‘Viktor and Rolf-Fashion Artists 25 Years’ the exhibition (made in collaboration with the Dutch designers and Canadian curator Thierry-Maxime Loriot.) is made with a great eye for detailing and fashion. The garments are wonderful and so are the installations and dolls! Young in Prison (YiP) celebrates its 15th anniversary in Amsterdam

Young in Prison, YiP for short, is an international foundation that enables children and young people in conflict with the law to contribute positively to society through creative and sports development programmes, in prison and after release. Since 2002 YiP has been working with young prisoners, leading to the development of the COPOSO method: Contributing Positively to Society. COPOSO is based on the values of positivity, creativity, equality, inspiration, transparancy and honesty. YiP works on a personal level with young people and provides high energy workshops.

Young in Prison created a program in order to celebrate it’s 15th anniversary on October the 7th at Paradiso Noord in Amsterdam. This day starts with the annual YiPArt photo auction at 16:00 and ends with a party, with loads of (live) music until 03:00.

Dutch Brand pols potten celebrates it’s 30th Anniversary

Mimi Berlin joined the party to celebrate, and take partysnaps for WOTH Wonderful Things Magazine. Founding editor of WOTH magazine, Mary Hessing, got commisioned to make the book ‘Family of Things’; 30 years pols potten, which was launched at the party as well. Taking snaps at this event was our little congratulaions present to her. More reason to celebrate was the introduction of the new Gervasioni Collection to the store with furniture designed by, amongst others, Paola Navone and Patricia Urquiola. So, if you need to decorate your home any time soon we suggest you visit the pols potten shop in Amsterdam to see some Italian design.
