We’re back!!

Dear friends,family and followers, Mimi Berlin is back! After a long break we really feel the urge to start posting again. Writing about our opinions on everything nice in life is still a joy for us. We didn’t do nothing in the past time though. We have been busy on instagram only (@mimiberlin_amsterdam) but our blog and Facebook have been left on the shelf long enough now. And our broken computer won’t be an excuse anymore either!

What you can expect is a series of things we wanted to share in the past but didn’t.

The clubkids who roam the clubs of Chicago nowadays are a special bunch, Imp Queen and WannaBonbon are 2 examples. Two creative persons who express themselves mainly with their own face and body, fabric and paint. They are fashion icons, pop stars, amazing make-up artists and all-round performers.

These ‘Drag Queen’s’du jour, do not only expose themselves in a surreal and graphic way. No. Real Life, out of drag, is shared as well: @ImpKid shows a shooting-hormones-session live on Insta! As you all know; we, at Mimi Berlin, are old, and thus we have “something to say about that”! We aren’t are prudent bunch, we’ve only encountered someone shooting hormones en plein publique once: in a bar. But that was not filmed for an 10K audience! That’s the reason we have to mention this live feed. Guess we just have to get used to the modern way of sharing everything……What do you think?

Gustav Brostrom’s Beauty Multi Masks on Instagram

The instagram feed of Gustav Brostrom from Stockholm, Sweden, is filled with selfies made of his face covered in different beauty masks at the same time. Gustav mixes facial masks, patches, foams and what have you not, to create lovely images of himself. (yes we know they are called selfies)

Multimasking was the newest rage in 2015, a beauty trend we, at Mimi Berlin, completely missed out on. Basically it’s targeted skincare. By putting on multiple facial masks, or layer them simultaneously on the skin, you can treat different skin concerns at one time. Gustav Brostrom takes multimasking to the next level. Fun!
