Kitty Necklace Half Plastic and Half Silver

About Kitty Necklace

The Kitty Necklace is a design by Mimi Berlin Bijoux created with salvaged materials: plastic and silver. The plastic beads were discarded by a child at one point and the silver chain is gifted to us by Kitty, it’s an attic treasure. The silver lockets and our little logo-tag are new.

Respect

Mimi Berlin Bijoux decided to use the decorative silver ‘Haferkorn” chain to string the plastic beads and delicious food-charms together into a necklace suitable for adults. Presenting these beads, and in particular the lovely, detailed charms, in the way they should be presented: with respect with precious metal.

036m2 Bulletin Board

For their 0.36m² – Bulletin Board Project, Forbo offered a selected group of creatives a Linoleum pin-board of 60×60 cm and invited them to use it in any way they wanted.
We, at Mimi Berlin used the board to showcase our Close-Up Portrait necklaces, designed to wear and/or to hang on your wall.

Twinset

What is Ms Von Bis doing, you ask of us, well she takes of her cardigan because she’s just to hot in her twinset. We made this series a while ago but never posted them, we, at Mimi Berlin, can’t even remember why we didn’t.

From left to right double portraits, photographed by Herr Kaldenbach, of Beja von Bis wearing Tilly, Virgil, Pepper and the ‘Close-Up” set of necklaces. Click the images to enlarge and click here to SHOP the ‘Close-Up” set of necklaces.

Collage Artworks with Brooches by Mimi Berlin

Artworks with Brooches by Mimi Berlin

The first series of Mimi Berlin’s VintageDeluxe Fashion Accessories Artworks are ready! In order to keep the past of fashion alive, preserve and comment on it, we decided to take one magazine from our mimimagazines collection apart and turn it into artworks; by combining them with costume jewelry from our collection (which is also vintagedeluxe). The collages, 45 in total, are all made with laminated pages from one magazine; Linea Italia Magazine, augm1980, and carefully selected brooches, fixed together in a storytelling way.

The ingredients for these collages are both vintagedeluxe. The brooches are mostly costume jewelry which are fixed onto the laminated fashion magazine pages, they can be taken off if you’d like to wear them or you can hang the artwork on your wall (with or without the jewelry; you can decide that after purchase for yourself!)

They aren’t up for sale ye;t they have to be photographed properly first…..we’ll keep you posted!
