Dramatic Waist Hip Ratio Kim K in Dior Bikini

Dramatic Waist Hip Ratio Kim K in Dior Bikini

Mrs Kardashian-West is breaking the internet once again with her body. To be precise with an unretouched picture of her very large booty wrapped in tiny Dior swimwear. The world of celeb addicts (yours truly included) is fascinated by the size of her humongous, almost bare, behind. While examining her butt (and the astonishing hip – waist ratio) we also wondered if this is a vintage Dior bikini she’s wearing….. You must know that the designer at the house of Dior is sending a completely different type of woman/body-image into the world nowadays.(see images below)

Dior also broke the internet with these ‘we should all be feminists’ slogan t-shirts last year at the fashion week. (they will be for sale soon at a Dior shop near you). We would like to see Kim mixing vintage Dior with Dior’s new slogan tee; ideally a wet one! xoxo Mimi Berlin

Believe it or not: People used to color glass with uranium (in oxide diuranate form).
Uranium was not seen as being particularly dangerous during the 19th century; so the development of various uses for the element, such as tableware and household items were quite normal. Continue reading

Veronica Lake’s Hairstyle

Veronica Lake’s Hairstyle

From pin-up to patriot.
About Ms Lake’s hairstyle before and during the second World War: taming Veronica’s cascading blond manes.

Veronica Lake was so populair in the forties that women copied her hairstyle. In the clip below (is it propaganda or plain advertising?) Ms Lake was set an example for women who had to wear safety hats while working at the factory during the second World War. Because “The Lake’s eyeview is entirely out of place on a war production plant”/ “Uncontrolled hair will never stay in place”/”the rhytm of precision work can be upset resulting in faulty work”.

Veronica Lake “put glamour in it’s proper wartime place” and changed her hairstyle on camera in an, ironically, German-like-bunroll-style which was also cute but not so much sexy. The poor factory girls however had to put on even less sexy and seriously ugly hats at work. The, safe, uniforms were sold as “Industrial Fashions” to women in the USA.
