Mimi Berlin Blogger Team visited the opening of the Seletti Flagship Store Amsterdam just about a month ago. Seletti is an Italian furniture design brand known for it’s pop-culture-inspired products which bring humour and quality into your home. The store is situated in the Runstraat at number 22, that’s near the Prinsengracht. It’s hard to miss because the shopwindow boosts an overwhelming and very colorful tableaux-vivant.
Søstrene Grene is een Deense retailketen, opgezet door de Grene familie in 1973. Søstrene Grene (de Gezusters Grene in Deens) heeft maar liefst 13 winkels in Nederland en twee in België. De producten die te koop zijn worden ontworpen met creativiteit, geluk en plezier (‘hygge’ in Deens) en het concept van “Slow Living” in gedachte. De winkel heeft een ruim assortiment aan producten voor huis, keuken, knutselen, feest, kantoor, en kinderen. Prijzen zijn laag; een afdruiprekje heb je al voor €4,89. Wij, van Mimi Berlin, hebben de winkel nog niet bezocht maar we zijn erg benieuwd! (scroll down for English text)

In this self-portrait we are having fun cheering for each other: this group of friends and colleagues are all creative minds from The Netherlands. In daily life these people are trying to make the world a prettier place; by creating visual delicacies. The portrayed are working, behind the scenes, in fashion (illustration), dance and art (direction). They really like to dress up and they have a fascination with cheerleaders in general. & Other Stories will launch it’s second co-lab with designer Clare Vivier this spring/ summer season. The collection is filled with all kinds of lovely (& reasonably priced) bright colored leather goods, like bags, shoes, and accessories such as wallets and tassels. This collection is also a chance for us to meet the daughters of Meryl Streep; these 3 girls “The Gummar Sisters”, are the models for Clare Vivier’s campaign with & other stories. Grace, Mamie and Louise Gummar are friends of the designer, they just look like their mother don’t you think? They were photographed by Stephen Shore in Los Angeles.
