Frozen Elixer Sensuelle

Elixer Sensuelle

We, at Mimi Berlin, put a bottle of Elixer Sensuelle No 5 by Chanel in the freezer the other day. Why? You ask of us. Well, why not! Without kidding, we made these images as a sketch for a beauty editorial. The idea hasn’t been used, we went another route, but it can be in the future for sure because we still like the image a lot.

How to Spot a Fashion Trend: 1980s BeautyAdvertisements

1980s Fashion Trend

Goodmorning Y’all. We, at Mimi Berlin, are explaining how to spot a fashion-trend today. To make it easy and basic we want to start out with a trend from the past. We do this because it can be verified; obviously this trend is an existing one from the 1980s: Red Lipstick. So we can indeed verify and prove that red lipstick trend in this post.

Chanel Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2016

Wow, again a great fashion spectacle by the House of Chanel; they created every girl’s dream, a lifesize dollhouse! Build in the Grand Palais in Paris with a green lawn and a blue sky……We also really loved the retro hairdo’s created by Sam McKnight.
Make sure to watch the instagram video of the finale at @vogueparis

Chanel Airlines for Spring 2016

Chanel Airlines for Spring 2016

It’s an airport…..It’s a performance……Well; it’s a fashion show!

This fashion show for the Spring/Summer Chanel season of 2016 reminds us of the movie “The Truman Show” (1998) directed by Peter Weir. As you all may (or not) remember; that movie is about the life of a man starring in a tv reality show, as himself, in his own life, but he doesn’t know that he’s being filmed and that his surroundings, including people, are a constructed reality. In 1998 this was called a science-fiction type of movie. We’re not sure if the real-life-soap-stars-family The Kardashians  exsisted on TV in 1998, but they sure do now: and Kendall Jenner (that’s the half-sister of the Kardashians) strutted this Chanel Airlines runway being a model. That fact ends this petite story in a nice, full circle…..it’s all fake but not so much!

Chanel Perfume and Jean Paul Goude

Chanel Perfume and Jean Paul Goude

Yes! Jean Paul Goude made another ad mini-movie for Chanel! After juggling with a perfume bottle of Chance, in 2011, the models now, in 2015, take up bowling, with many bottles of Chance, fun! Our all-time favorite Jean Paul Goude/Chanel collaboration is the one with Vanessa Paradis whistling and spilling Coco perfume, made in 1991. Oh and also the ad for Chanel Egoiste, made in 1990. Chanel’s Garden: Spring Couture 2015

Chanel’s Garden: Spring Couture 2015

A custom made fake garden in white! How wonderful is this Chanel runway venue at the Grand Palais in Paris? Simply astonishing, so much that we won’t elaborate on the clothes, check them out here for yourself.
“It took six months to make the 300 flowers that decorated the Chanel set today. Each of them had its own engine, and when at the show’s start (model) Baptiste Giabiconi applied a theatrical splash from a CC-branded watering can and they simultaneously burst into mechanical bloom,” (read more at style.com) WOW!
