Exhibition Salon 2022|2023 30+ artists Opening at What art Can Do Gallery in Amsterdam

Together with 30+ artists we, at Mimi Berlin, have work (2 statuettes from the Powderbox Girls series) on show at The Salon 22/23 in gallery/project space What Art Can Do in Amsterdam. We went to the opening and took some pictures for yous who couldn’t be there. Your Welcome! As you can see in the photo’s; the place was so packed and humid that we ended up with not one good picture of the actual work. But, and as we, at Mimi Belin, always state.
If you want to see the art on show it’s best to visit and see it for yourself. We suggest that you do so because, in our opinion this exhibition is special; it shows the most diversity we’ve ever seen in a small space and that is super-fun! Thanks to Simone Swildens who invited us to join. xoxo Mimi Berlin

The Salon 22/23 runs to January 28, the gallery is open on thursday, friday and saturday from 13:00-18:00. The address is: Tweede Tuindwarsstraat 4 1015 RZ Amsterdam

Ticket Booth by Studio Job at the Moco Museum Amsterdam

Ticket Booth by Studio Job

This is the ticket booth designed by Studio Job for the Moco museum in Amsterdam. The designers named it: “The Bullshit Circus” the trailer is a textbook example of interactive pop-art.

We took these images a while ago, on November 8, 2019 to be exact. That’s the day we visited 2 openings from Studio Job. This one, at the Moco museum and the opening of the Seletti store in Amsterdam the designers work together with this Italian brand, so they were present at the opening.
Please go to the Studio Job site to get in the know about “The Bullshit Circus”.

Mimi Blogger Team visits exhibitions all the time. We often take Partysnaps but we also like to like to incorporate the art itself in our photo’s. Over the years we gathered a large collection of people watching the art on show. The moments we capture are special or absurd or just plain pretty. We also like to take these photo’s when we’re bored or when the younger audience is bored. Also if it’s too crowded to really have a look at the paintings (or other form of art) on show, which is often the case on opening nights.

Opening Show at Amsterdam Fashion Week: Das Leben am Haverkamp

Opening Show at Amsterdam Fashion Week: Das Leben am Haverkamp

Dutch fashion collective Das Leben Am Haverkamp opened the Amsterdam Fashion Week (sponsored by Mercedes-Benz: MBFWA) thursday evening. Das Leben am Haverkamp (The life at Haverkamp*)  debuted in 2015 at Amsterdam Fashionweek during “The Future Generation” program with the fashion performance “Gefelicifashion” (*Read more about that and the designers HERE on this blog)

(the finale XOXOMIMIBERLINMMXVII)

DLAH showed a “Holiday Resort Happening” The basis for this presentation was a question they asked themselves about fashion: what happens to clothes if you take away it’s functionality. The audience wasn’t really included in this questionnaire; we were left to think for ourselves whilst (a lovely cast) of models passed us by in a monotone choreography. The models were holding lifesize illustrations, mostly executed in plastic, of “looks”.
